On August 13th, 1994 Quad Power was born when Thom Prellberg began working in his garage for his first client. The business grew and Thom realized something.  As good as Thom was, he knew he couldn't do it alone, He needed to recruit someone to help him build this new business. He found his perfect partner in crime in a young and rambunctious Steve Hedgpeth.

And so, after baiting Steve on a fishing trip during the fall striper run of 1994, he filled Steve with all the libations necessary to coerce him into a business partnership. From that day forward Thom and Steve led Quad Power with determination and expertise.

In 1996 they moved from Thom's garage to our current location in South KC! They worked diligently and with unwavering dedication slowly grew Quad Power, by focusing on superior customer service and friendliness. Their MO was to take your problems personally and work hard to solve them, values which we still hold today.

From 1996-2014 Quad Power grew steadily with multiple expansions and in 2014 took a major step forward by nearly doubling our footprint and industrial hose capacity.

Mr. Thom Prellberg announce his retirement in September of 2019, and Steve became the sole proprietor. Thom left us a legacy of excellence and we are still, and will always be, grateful for his years of commitment to Quad Power.

In 2022, we solidified our commitment to South KC by purchasing our building and initiating plans to expand further. And in 2024, we invested in custom concrete placement hose assemblies, further positioning Quad Power for success in the future.
